Led by our chef, Pedro Diniz, the Oca Oriental Porto hotel has different points for you to steal our cooking, whether you stay with us or not. Starting with a snack bar, which opens every day from 12:00 to 10:00 p.m., with modern dishes, prepared to snack and share.
In addition, our Ganso Douro restaurant offers you a daily executive menu, at noon, from Monday to Friday, from 12:00 to 2:30 p.m. (except holidays). It varies every week and it is based on updated traditional Portuguese cuisine, in addition to our paella rice dishes.
Likewise, the à la carte restaurant will open to the public (lunch only, except on the eve of holidays) from Monday to Saturday from 12:00 to 2:30 p.m. and Saturdays from 8:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Closed on Sunday, except holidays. You will find in it traditional cuisine dishes with a novel touch, using quality products, in which Galician, Portuguese and international cooking are combined.
You can try from cheese and sausage boards, smoked cod salad with tapenade (cream of black olives and capers), to cream of peas with prawns, alheira meatballs (typical Portuguese sausage) of game with fried apple, veal/ox sirloin with chestnut and apple puree and octopus “á lagareiro” (a typical Portuguese modality that bears the traditional name of the peasants who made the olive oil. It is prepared with octopus that is cooked and then baked or grilled and served with mashed potatoes as an accompaniment in an oil with garlic and herbs).
And don’t forget dessert! Like peanut butter foam or brownie with red fruit sauce and ice cream.
