OCA Hotels lights up its hotel in Santiago in blue on the World Autism Day

OCA Hotels lights up the main entrance and reception of its hotel in Santiago de Compostela, the OCA Puerta del Camino, in blue from March 3th to April 5th, on the occasion of World Autism Day.

Our director Lalo Crespo makes a general appeal to society, institutions, companies, from the OCA Puerta del Camino hotel. Because actions and small gestures like these should remind us and warn us that integration and respect for people with functional and cognitive diversity is a task for everyone, together. No one should be left behind.

Within the principles of corporate social responsibility of OCA Hotels is to support vulnerable groups, get involved in solidarity projects and in general participate in the society in which we settle. That is why we join this initiative of the Autism Confederation of Spain. And that’s why the OCA Puerta del Camino hotel lights up in blue for the next few days.

The pandemic has put the most fragile groups in a delicate situation. As companies and as individuals we also have responsibility in this regard, in the decisions and actions we take. It is not only a matter of the administrations. It is part of our business philosophy.

The Autism Confederation of Spain has been the one who has called everyone to make visible people with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), their capacities and their needs, “dyeing” buildings, urban landscapes and monuments in blue, under the labels #IluminaDeAzul #DíaMundialdelAutismo.
